The brand new version 2.0 Rebtel apps have made free calls easier than ever! When you call from your Rebtel for PC application or from your iPhone using the new version of our Rebtel for iPhone app, we let you know which friends have also got the app, so you’ll see a “Free” logo next to those contacts. The calls you make to these contacts are entirely free if you call them using a WiFi or 3G connection*. In our 50+ supported countries, you can also connect your free calls using your local minutes*.

This means that it’s a great idea to suggest that your friends also pick up the newest version of our iPhone app, or our new Rebtel for PC app – you can then call each other for free through WiFi or your regular internet connection if you use your PC, regardless of where in the world you are!

Free international calls from your Android or BlackBerry

If you’re calling with an Android or Blackberry phone, making a free international call with Rebtel is just like making a regular call.

Download the Rebtel app from Android Market or Blackberry App World. The app runs in the background, automatically intercepts all international calls made from your dial pad or address book and connects them through Rebtel instead of your expensive operator. No complicated set-up required.

The Rebtel app also makes life easier for friends that call you. Once you have the app running on your phone, all incoming Rebtel calls are automatically turned into Free Calls using your local minutes.

This means that if you ask your friends living in one of our 50 supported countries to also get the app, you can make seamless Free Calls to each other without ever asking each other to hand up and call back. Making a free international call has never been easier!

Even if you don’t have one of our smartphone apps or PC application, you can still make free calls with Rebtel, using your landline or mobile. After signing up, simply add the number to your friend you want to call to your Rebtel contact list. A local number is instantly created and sent to you in an email or SMS. Create it once, save it to your phone and use it to call your friend on instead of their regular international number.

To make Rebtel Free Call, simply call your friend using the local number you got from Rebtel. When they pick up, ask them to hang up and call you back while you stay on the line. You see, when you call a friend in one of the 50 countries where Rebtel is available, a number that is local to your friend is displayed on their phone. When they call you back up, the call is instantly connected and you can talk for as long as you like without paying anything to Rebtel*.
